内容記述 | The present study aims to reveal changes in the dietary culture of the farmers in Takaki, Simosuwa town, Suwa-gun, Nagano, since the early Showa era. Two men and two women, who had lived in the area for more than thirty years, were interviewed in 2005. During the early Showa period, residents' main occupations were rice cultivation, sericulture and fishery in Lake Suwa. After World War II, the main occupations changed for manufacturing industry, where higher wages could be obtained. Along with a change of occupation, a lot of fields of Takaki sold highly as residential land and Lake Suwa was polluted by contamination water drained from home and many factories and a lot of hot springs hotels. Previously self-sufficient eating habits changed to consumption-dependent eating habits , which allowed residents to purchase a larger variety of foods. Some people continued to grow their own vegetables and make pickles for a hobby, but because they did not have to be self-sufficient, the quantity decreased. In addition, collaboration of a village through festivals and events changed and decreased, resulting in fewer opportunities to cook together. However, it is wished that the value of local food culture is understood to local young people by local events such as Onbashira, and that their relationships with each other are deepened. | |||||
