| 内容記述 | For the purpose of investigating the real situation of agricultural work of aged person living alone, we carried out a questionnaire research at Village A in 1994. We delivered the questionnaire to all aged persons living alone in the village. The number was l14 and 86 were returned. In the questionnaire we asked them the widths of their farm lands, products, working hour, usage of machines and tools, difficulties in the work, supports from others, situation of the denudation of their farm land, farm successors, future plan about their farm land, attitude and consciousness towards the denudation, and so on. The important results were followings; The age distribution was 65 to 91. Most of them have engaged very small agricultural work to products and consume for themselves. However, they had to perform the work by very simple tools, because it was very hard to use agricultural machines due to the lack of their muscle strength. They needs various supports to carry out the work, even if they are healthy enough to engage the work. If they are lucky, they can obtain needed supports from their family who are living not so far away. If they can pay some money to others, some organizations or institutions, they can get needed supports for their work. If it is very difficult or impossible to get supports, they struggle to continue the work for the first and then give up to do. This means that their farm land come to the denudation. Only 9 aged persons can expect to have their successors, but it is not sure. If they can’t get their successors, the denudation of their farm land will occur. Even if they know these facts, they can’t have any countermeasure to break the denudation. |
