| 内容記述 | We describe in this paper the organization and function of the center of self-help tooIs and instruments in Norway. We carried out a field research in Norway in 1998 to investigate real life of aged persons living alone in their houses. Through this research we found that aged persons were receiving various proper social supports so as to maintain their life in their house. AIso we noticed that one of very important supports was performed by a center of self-help tooIs and instruments. This center was a governmental organization. Then we visited one center in Oestfold prefecture located in the city of Fredrikstad. In the center, 35 fulltime staff member were working as designers, engineers, work therapists, physical therapists, nurses, a sign language interpreter and so on. AIso there were many and various self-help tooIs and instruments to lend to aged person. The center has been making efforts to lend proper self-tooIs and instruments to aged persons immediately, paying strict and kind attention to individual housing situation, physical situation and mental situation of aged persons. The final aim of activities of the center was to maintain continuity of life of aged persons before it. The activities of the center have played very important role as one of effective social supports for aged person living their own house. |
