A questionnaire form was distributed to all the households of Azusagawa area. Responses to the questionnaire were received from 2230 inhabitants from 18 to 91 years old (mean age ± SD, 55.8 ± 14.2 years). Analysis of responses revealed that the intake fiequency was higher, as the intak period was longer. Among the intake reasons, the most popular was health promortion. There was a good change of the physical condition in 33% of the people who ate "Azusa germed brown rice." Among the changes, the commonest was "A bowel movement got well." Higher frequency and longer period of eating significantly related with the good changes of physical condition.
