In the present study, we assessed diet experience, enthusiasm for nutritional or health information, methods for gathering the information, and the reason for gathering information in patients with ED and without ED in a general hospital outpatient setting in Japan. 29 women with ED and 33 age-matched women without ED participated in the study. The assessment was based on a structured interview by a psychiatrist. Though the prevalence of dieting does not differ between two groups, the beginning of dieting was earlier in ED group (17.8 ± 3.2 y.o.) than in the control group (23.0 ± 7.5 y.o.). Compared to the control group, ED patients recognized themselves that their level of interest about nutrition is high and they were confident about their knowledge. However, ED patients preferred to gather nutritional information from the media based on convenience, not on reliability. We suggest that the efficiency-seeking behavior might be too strong in ED patients and that modification of information gathering behavior would contribute to nutritional counseling of ED patients.}, pages = {9--17}, title = {摂食障害女性患者と栄養関連情報との関わり}, volume = {68}, year = {2014}, yomi = {スギヤマ, エイコ and ヨコヤマ, シン} }
